March 16 Tuesday 6:30 PM The Depot Book Club dinner and discussion of Dark Tide: the Great Molasses Flood of 1919 by Stephen Puleo. Advance registration required, $35
March 26 Friday 8 PM The Depot Cronin Lecture by William Poole Lexington Minuteman and authority on the members of Lexington’s 1775 Training Band. Free, dessert and coffee will be served.
April 6 Tuesday 7:30 PM The Depot Historical Society Annual Meeting
April 18 Sunday 8 PM Pilgrim Congregational Church, 55 Coolidge Avenue In Their Own Words, dramatic reading of the events of April 19th, 1775, in the words of those who were there! Tickets available by calling the Society office at 781–862–1703.
April 18 Sunday 11:30 PM Hancock-Clarke House, 36 Hancock Street Paul Revere’s Ride reenactment. A dramatization of the famous “midnight ride” done at the historical time at the historical place! Free and open to the public.
April 19 Monday 6:30–10:00 AM Buckman Tavern, 1 Bedford Street Historic house museum opens to the public for walk-throughs. $3/adults and $1/child at the door.
April 19 Monday 10:00 AM-2:00 AM Historic Houses Three historic house museums open to the public for guided tours. Buckman Tavern, 1 Bedford Street, tours every half hour. Hancock-Clarke House, 36 Hancock Street, and Munroe Tavern, 1332 Massachusetts Avenue, tours on the hour. $10/adult & $6/child for all three houses; tickets available at any house.
May 2 Sunday The Society’s First-Ever Classic Car Event featuring Lexington’s vintage vehicles. Call 781–862–1703 if you have a car you would like to exhibit.
May 22 Saturday Day Trip to Portsmouth, New Hampshire – Beyond Strawberry Banke.
