Come to Lexington MA to Watch Historical Re-Enactments

The Battle of Lexington

Each year, on the closest Monday to April 19th, the Battle of Lexington where the FIRST SHOT of the American Revolution was fired is reenacted by the Lexington Minutemen and the 10th Regiment of Foot. To achieve historical accuracy, the reenactment happens at the same hour as the original battle, 5:30am. Patriot’s Day in Lexington is filled with activities including road races, two parades, pancake breakfasts and several yearly ceremonies recognizing the fallen Minutemen, veterans of ships including Lexington in their names and an annual Awards Ceremony for outstanding citizens of Lexington.
