Vintage Photos of Lexington

The Lexington Historical Society’s Archives contain thousands of vintage photographs of Lexington, from the mid-1800s to the present. We are adding hundreds of photographs to our collection each year. Many of our photographs are digitized and searchable by key word. Individuals interested in our photograph collection can contact office@lexingtonhistory.org for information about access to the collection.

Included here is a sample of our vintage photographs for your enjoyment. We have enhanced these archival photographs using modern digital image processing techniques to improve the brightness, contrast and to remove obvious scratches and other imperfections. We will be adding additional slide shows of vintage photographs about specific historic houses and sites in Lexington.
