Visit the place where the American Revolution began and hear both sides of the story. Tour the only historically furnished sites relating to the Battle of Lexington on April 19, 1775. Walk in the footsteps of Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and George Washington.
For the comfort of our visitors, all of our facilities are climate controlled.
Join us Fridays at 10:30 AM for "Stories in Stone", a guided tour of the historic Old Burying Ground, the final home of many prominent Lexington residents, as well as beautiful traditional New England gravestone art. This hour-long tour explores the history of gravestone art as well as the stories of the people buried beneath them.
Tours are $5 for adults (16 and under free) and may be purchased at Buckman Tavern on a first-come, first-served basis the day of the tour. This is a walking tour and involves crossing busy streets, and walking and standing on uneven, unshaded ground. Sturdy shoes and sunscreen are recommended.
