Volunteer for Programs and Events

The Society has a vibrant year-round schedule of programs and events overseen by the Programs and Events Committee. We offer a lecture series, book club, day trips, and family-centered activities. Additionally, we sponsor annual fundraising events such as a themed gala, Relinquished Treasures (a May sale of donated antiques and collectibles), the Golf Classic (an early October tournament at the Lexington Golf Club), and house tours of notable homes in Lexington.
Duties
Volunteers greet attendees, sell tickets and memberships, pass hors d’oeuvres or staff refreshment tables, provide sweet or savory finger foods, prepare crafts supplies, and help with games and activities. Volunteers also help with mass mailings.
Location & Hours
Programs and Events happen at the Depot, the historic houses, and off-site. They occur on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Commitment
Volunteers can commit to one, a few, or many events throughout the year.
